ABOUT US
Psalm 101 was founded in 2003 with husband & wife duo, Bill & Angela Fulkerson. They had been married since 1992, and traveled in Angela‘s parent’s ministry.
Bill and Angela both had completely different backgrounds, and musical influences. However, they were able to blend those differences & influences into a their own unique sound. Psalm 101 is an energetic live family band, with Angela on keys, Bill on electric guitar, and their 16-year-old son Austin on drums. Their music sound has been described as a little bit country & classic southern rock, but with strong gospel, Christ centered lyrics. They share their powerful testimonies of forgiveness and healing to audiences of all ages. Psalm 101 has travelled to 50 states in America, and 6 countries sharing Jesus through music.
In 2026, Psalm 101 was named Band of the Year for the Inspirational Country Music Association at the Grand Old Opry with two number one songs on the Christian Country charts.
Psalm 101 has a heart for people, and love encouraging their listeners to follow Jesus.
AUSTIN FULKERSON was born in 2010, and loved music from day one! His nickname is "Sunshine" because he tries to be light in a dark world. He started with the family band as soon as he could hold his ukulele, and dance at the same time. He became the full time drummer for Psalm 101 in 2018, and recently started singing.
Austin won the Youth in Music Award for the Inspirational Country Music Association in 2026.
He loves Jesus, family, music, and he is studying to be a pilot.
ANGELA FULKERSON was born into a ministry family, and started singing at 3yrs old. She's been ministering all her life, with no plans to slow down! Her vocals are the core sound for Psalm 101, with a blend of country & soul! She also plays piano & bass on the keyboard for the band. Her songwriting provides originals for Psalm 101, and has been described as "real life" put to music!
Angela's testimony of how God miraculously healed her at birth, continues to bless people everywhere they go!
She has recently written a book called “My View From the Piano” which is collection of stories and testimonies of her life in ministry with her parents, as well as Psalm 101! Angela celebrated 50 years in ministry, has visited 50 states of America & six countries, telling people about Jesus! She loves Jesus, family, music, and a great cup of coffee!
BILL FULKERSON born in Houston, TX has a testimony of the mercy of God. A troubled childhood led to a destructive path. In 1987, Jesus found Bill, and "Mercy Walked In" He picked up the guitar at 14, and has strictly played for Jesus ever since! It took years for Angela to convince him to sing. Now, his signature song is one of the most requested! Bill is the solid rock & force behind Psalm 101. Driver, sound guy, road crew, security & manager! He loves Jesus, family, music, and all things guitar.
